Wondering how some people can get professional-looking and high quality pictures/videos with their phones? Here is the best iPhone camera hacks for 2023, so make sure to keep reading and discover things you didn’t know your iPhone camera could do.
1. Take photos with LIVE
Yes, this tip is a time-saver! This is for sure one of the best ways to get the perfect picture faster. The picture will be like a video, so you can easily choose which picture you prefer most. I will show you how to do it:
Put live on > Take a picture > Edit > Live > Choose a picture > Make Key Photo > Done
Step by step:

2. Make videos in 4K
Did you know that your iPhone actually can shoot videos in 4K? You can easily turn this on via settings.
Guide: Settings > Camera > Record Video > 4K at 30 fps
Your videos will look so much more professional and get a higher quality! Awesome, right?

3. Long exposure (iPhone 11 – 14)
I love this one. Did you know that you can change a Live Photo into a video or a picture with long exposure? Which means that moving elements in the picture gets blurry. For instance, if you want to take a picture of someone, and people in the background are walking, In other words, you can actually get “rid” of the people by using this effect on your iPhone.
However, just make sure to take the picture with Live mode on first.
How to get the long exposure effect on your photos:
Put Live On > Take a photo > Swipe up on the picture > Choose Long Exposure

4. Take HDR photos
For better outdoor pictures – turn on the HDR, which stands for High Dynamic Range. HDR takes three pictures at once. One overexposed picture, one underexposed and one right in the middle. Blended together, and the result will create a photo with more vibrant colors and depth of field.
Guide: Settings > Camera > Auto HDR (on)

5. How to use the ultra wide camera (not older than iPhone 11)
Same spot – different settings. The first picture is with the normal setting (1x) and the second picture is with the ultra wide camera (0,5x). Open the camera app and adjust by zooming out on the screen, or just tap “0,5” just above the shutter button to switch to the ultra wide camera.
You can also record videos with this setting. The result always end up so cool!

6. Keep the picture clear
Keep a clean lens. I know that’s pretty obvious, but a lot of people forget to clean their lens before taking a picture. It’s sad because the picture will not end up as good as it could have been. So try to remember to always clean your lens before using the camera. Trust me, it’s totally worth it!

7. Blur the background
If you have one of the newer models of iPhone, you can simply take photos in the portrait mode to get photos with a blurry background.
But don’t worry if you don’t have one of the newest iPhones. You can easily get a blurry background by using apps like “Blur Photo Effect Background” or “Lensa Editor: Blur Background”, where you can get the same result!

8. Use filters on your photos
There are several photo apps you can use to get beautiful filters on your pictures. I always recommend the photo editor app VSCO. It’s really easy to use, even if you are just a beginner. VSCO is available for both iPhone and Android users.
My second favorite app is Lightroom. It’s a little bit more advanced but you have more options and a lot of more settings you can choose between. However, you can also use Lightroom on your desktop. Want to use my presets? I have finally decided to sell my presets! They are now available in my shop: Here! Check them out!

You might have already noticed, but filters and presets are really popular nowadays. It makes your photos look more professional. If you want to learn some awesome and secret Instagram hacks, read the latest “8 Instagram Hacks 2023” blogpost, here. (link!)
