What are Lightroom Presets?
Lightroom presets are image filters. Files that allow Lightroom to apply specific development settings to an image in just one click.
I have created and been using these filters for a few years now, and the most common question I get almost everyday – is about my photo editing. That is why I have decided to make my presets available for sale
I have divided the presets into different themes, such as ”Rose Gold”, ”Insta Blogger”, ”Happy Blue” and ”Magic Sunset”. I use them all, I mix them and I choose the preset depending on where the picture was taken. For example: If I am in Miami or Santorini, I would use ”Happy Blue” which is perfect for more tropical photos, whereas ”Insta Blogger” is better for City photos (for example: New York/Stockholm/Paris). Magic Sunset is perfect for photos taken on sunsets or at night and Rose Gold is perfect when you want a cute touch.
However, this is how I choose to use the presets. Everyone has their own preference and style. There is no right way to use them. That is why I would like to show you how you can make the preset even more personal. Once you clicked on the preset, it will be applied to your photo and you can make manual adjustments – You have the opportunity to adjust some of the settings, such as color, shade, contrast and much more, if you want.
I will show you how you can make the adjustments to make your photos even better.
How to adjust the presets
(This is only if you want to adjust the presets, you can aslo just use the presets as they are – like I do.)
But for you guys who wants to learn more: (it´s super easy tho)
Here we go!
How to adjust the light/color.
The only settings you need to know and it is super easy.
When you need to adjust the Light – When the picture is too dark and too light.
How to edit the Light: Go to Light – Adjust the exposure and contrast (in the red mark)
When you need to adjust the Color – When the picture is too yellow/blue/pink/green.
How to edit the Color: Go to Color – Adjust the temperature and tint (in the red mark)
How to adjust the skin and hair color.
How to edit the color of your skin: Go to Color – Press on “Mix” – Choose the orange color – Adjust the colors by adjusting the Hue, Saturation and Luminance (in the red mark)
How to edit any other color in the photo: Go to Color – Press on “Mix” – Choose the color you want to adjust – Adjust the color by adjusting the Hue, Saturation and Luminance (in the red mark)
If you want to adjust your hair color – choose the color of your hair. For example, I had red hair before, so I needed to increase the Red Hue Color to get a more intense color.
If you’re blonde, edit the yellow colors (the one beside the orange color)
And you´re ready to go!
